DEAD STAR BOYS return to gigging on Saturday 8th August when we play a FREE gig at The Hasting Punk Club.
We've spent the gap in gigs putting down a lot of what will be album 3, which will come out in early 2027.
And getting ahead of ourselves, we put a few mics in the room last week and knocked out demos of 5 songs that may be the start of our fourth album.
Currently looking for gigs next year. Not an easy thing to do.
Anyway, here's what people have been saying.......
LOUDER THAN WAR
Power chords and psychotic reactions: there’s a nervous tension at the heart of the Medway and Dead Star Boys have got it perfectly sussed. Rats, their second album, works like a distillation of our disturbed times.
VIVE le ROCK
If you’re into early Buzzcocks, you’ll love this. A rocking, revitalising, must listen !
SHINDIG MAGAZINE
Dead Star Boys deliver short, hook driven songs played with conviction and clear affection for the punk / mod lineage they inhabit.
PUNKTUATION ! Magazine
‘Rats‘ showcases Dead Star Boys‘ talent for phenomenal blasts to the ears of the grooviest and catchiest rock’n’roll! It’s wild, it’s writhing with earworms, and it’s an absolute must-listen.
FEAR AND LOATHING – Andy Pearson
Sharp, sneering and snotty, recalling highlights of The Roxy in 1977
I DON’T HEAR A SINGLE
There is such a raucous feel to the whole Dead Star Boys album. A rawness that drags you in and a hope that the energy of 1979 could be with us again.
Getting these words of encouragement has been great and also a surprise as we have no agent, no label, and there have been no bribes. We are truly indebted to Robert Plummer, Ruth Rae, Andy Pearson and Clive Webb.
Thanx DSB

Here we are going through the first track on our brand new album RATS..........
and Viv's attempt for an academy award in MARBLES taken from our debut.
DEAD STAR BOYS debut album came out on the 4th of August last year. Here's what people are said about it.........
If anyone can revive the spirit of ’79 for a whole new generation, Dead Star Boys are well placed to do so...... Robert Plummer – LOUDER THAN WAR
This band have a great sound and are definitely going places.......VIVE le ROCK
This is One mighty fine hard core garage punk Album which would sit right in any 21st century modern boys record collection....... Alan May – GLORY BOY RADIO
